doing our best is our value for this week and this is the activity and this is my one  that I 

made for this weeks value. 

 Tough kids 

on Thursday the year 3,4 and 5 went to tough kids tough kids is a fun run it is a 2k mile run there was a slip and slide with roam on it and soap and more fun thing and then we went to the beach and had a lesson and played in the ocean and then we went back to school and that is what we did when the year 6s went to year six camp bye .

elephant whisperer

 this is what I had to do for reading it is about the story called elephant whisperers it is really fun what you have to do is you get 10 questions to do It 4 days and you can do it on paper or on a slide and I did it on paper.

Math

In math today I did a stage five prototec it is ok it is because i just did 4 maths sheet so see you on Thursday for my stage six prototec 

 

Being On Time

for values, we have been doing stuff that teaches us about being on time and how we can be on time and what we can do to be on time and that is what this google drawing that i did bye.

dancing like the stars

 

Last week on Tuesday Te rōpū Whakamanawa my class did dancing like the stars we had 9 weeks of practice with Sandy Gray she came and did a hole dancing with us and then we did the dancing at the Isaac Royal Theatre and we were last on because the last for the best there were 11 other schools there dancing there was a teacher that did a backflip and Mr. Wilkinson came Penny and Miss Waho our class teacher and Sandy Gray we did awesome and Sandy Gray is the best dance teacher here are some photos of it.

Mr Huggins

On week 3 we got a student Teacher he is really got at instruments his name his Mr. Huggins he is so cool he is only here for 2 and a half week the instruments he knows how to play is the key broad and the guitar he plays the guitar for our wiata he is my favorite student teacher te ropu whakamanawa has had he is cool.

he is also good at one more thing it is basketball like he is so good so is Toby student teacher he is cool as well I do not want Mr. Huggins to leave because he is so funny and nice but he has to leave well that is a little bit about my student teacher Mr. Huggins I mean the best student-teacher Mr. Huggins.

 Basic Facts Learning

Today we have focused on using Prototec to check-in to see how our basic facts learning is going.  For this session, we had a maximum of 15 minutes to complete it.

Innovation and creativity

Art: I thought our Tapa Art unit was interesting because…

If I rate myself out of 10 for how well I participated in our art unit, I would give myself a… 9.5

In our Tapa Art unit, I learned:

1) what tapa means

2) There are other tapa designs that don't exist anymore

3) what they use to make tapa

Inquiry: I thought our Social Science unit about inventions throughout time was interesting because… I get to see what the past look's like

If I rate myself out of 10 for how well I participated in our Inquiry unit, I would give myself a… 8.5

In our innovations unit, I learned:

Being Conscious Of The World Around Us

This week our value is Being Conscious of the World Around Us.  This means showing awareness and empathy for what might be going on for other people and changing the way we act to be supportive of this.  

In Whakamanawa, we created a Wrinkled Heart Google Drawing to list the things that are said or done to us that make us feel down and blue.  We then wrote things that make us feel positive and fill our hearts with good feelings

Our next step is to actually change our actions and apply these things

Writing MindMups

Today we learned how to create a MindMup so we could identify and remember the things we need to do when writing so we are showing courtesy to our audience.  For many of us, creating a MindMup was a new experience.  This is the one we co-created.

I Made My Mum and Dad A coffee and here is what I did .

1. boil the jug with 2 cups of water if you are making two if you make 1 then Add 1 cup .
2. get you cup or mug .
3. then put 1teaspoon of coffee into the mugs. 
4. then add 30ml of milk or water. 
5. then get the jug and put the hot water into the mug carefully to the top of the mug but make sure it is not too full then stir the coffee.
